Collaborations

All members of LAECA will receive three issues per year of Collaborations, the official Journal of the Louisiana Early Childhood Association.

We welcome article submissions from members and non-members. Teachers, students, administrators, post-secondary educators, medical professionals, and others working for the betterment of Louisiana children and families are welcome to submit articles. We encourage you to note our Manuscript Guidelines and to peruse an archived journal to gain a better understanding of this journal’s style and focus.

Although articles on topics of current interest are always welcomed, each issue has a theme and articles that support the theme will be given first priority. The following information outlines upcoming themes and deadlines:

  • 2022 Volume 51, Issue 3: Deadline November 15 (Peer reviewed articles: October 15). Theme: Technology
  • 2023 Volume 52, Issue 1: Deadline March 15 (Peer reviewed articles: February 15) Theme: Supporting students with ESL/ELL needs
  • 2023 Volume 52, Issue 2: Deadline June 15 (Peer reviewed articles: May 15). Theme: School and Center Safety
  • 2023 Volume 52, Issue 3: Deadline November 15 (Peer reviewed articles: October 15). Theme: Assessment
  • 2024 Volume 53, Issue 1: Deadline March 15 (Peer reviewed articles: February 15). Theme: Students At-Risk/Early Intervention
  • 2024 Volume 53, Issue 2: Deadline June 15 (Peer reviewed articles: May 15). Theme: Emotional Intelligence/Emotional Agility
  • 2024 Volume 53, Issue 3: Deadline November 15 (Peer reviewed articles: October 15). Theme: Early Literacy
